Primary Level (Class 1-6)

Candidates should have possess:

1. Senior Secondary (12th) or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
2. Senior Secondary (12th) or equivalent with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) Regulations, 2002. OR
3. Senior Secondary (12th) or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
4. Senior Secondary (12th) or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.

CTET December 2024

Junior Level (Class 6-8)

Candidates should have possess:

1. Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

2. At least 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation, and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).

3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed., in accordance with the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) Regulations issued from time to time.

4. Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

5. Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).

7. Any candidate with a B.Ed. Program recognized by NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. As per the guidelines in the NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a candidate pursuing any NCTE or RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) recognized teacher education course, as specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010, is qualified to appear for the TET/CTET.

8. Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade, and passed or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.
